M2 eastbound reopens after vehicle fire – Kent Live

The road was closed at around 1am
All traffic was held earlier on the M2 eastbound after a vehicle caught fire on the carriageway.
Traffic information service Inrix confirmed the closure at 1am.
The incident affected a stretch of the M2 running eastbound from Junction 5 at the A249 (Sittingbourne/Stockbury Roundabout) to Junction 6 at the A251 Ashford Road (Faversham).
Inrix confirmed in an update at 1.35am that the road had reopened.
